So quick, so easy…

Materials Used:

Stampin Up Cardstock – Crumb Cake, Early Espresso

Unknown Brand Cardstock – Vanilla

Stampin Up Ink – Early Espresso

Stampin’ Up Stamp Set – Heard from the Heart

Cuttlebug – Swiss Dots embossing folder

Aleene’s Tacky Glue Fast Drying Glue Pen

EK Success 3D-Dots 1/16” thickness & 1/8” thickness

Art Philosophy

Cut info:

button 14 - base @ 3.50”  & basic/icon layer @ 3”  in Vanilla

button 16 - shift base @ 1.75 in Crumb Cake

button 16 - shift basic/icon layer @ 1.75 in Early Espresso

Cut card base at 4 ¼ x 5 ½ using SU’s Crumb Cake.  Make Cricut cuts.  Lightly ink acorn base with Early Espresso ink.  Emboss acorn layer with cuttlebug; glue to base layer.  Glue frame layers together and attach to card base using 1/8” 3D Dots.  Attach acorn to frame layers using 1/16” 3D Dots.  Stamp Sentiment to card base.  Add a layer of cardstock and a sentiment to the inside and that’s it, you’re done.  No fuss, no muss!!

Birthday Diva!

My youngest niece turned 6 last week (yes, I gave her the card on time, just a little late with the post J).  Last year I gave her this guitar for her birthday.  She absolutely loved it.  In fact a few weeks ago she told me that she had been rockin’ it hard.  I got so tickled.  Being that we call her the drama queen of the family and that she had been “rockin’ it” I came up with this idea for her birthday card:

Basic Black cardstock – card base and base cut of the girl
SU! Blush Blossom - skin color

Chrome paper (sorry don’t know the mfg) – Crown layer and guitar handle

Happy 10th Dawson!!

My youngest nephew, Dawson, will be 10 this month.  I wanted to make him a card that would fit a boy his age but still be manly and “cool”.  He enjoys drawing so he actually appreciates the stuff I have made him in the past.  I think he will really like this.  Of course this is not an original idea, you can google these wallets all day, but making them your own is the trick.  Here is my supply list:

First Christmas Cards of 2010

As usual, I am behind on my posting.  I am trying to catch up tonight.  My mom came for a visit a couple of weeks ago, which just happened to be when a friend has scheduled her  SU! Holiday Workshop.  My mom agreed to go because she enjoys crafting; she just doesn’t participate on a regular basis and doesn’t want to invest the time and money it requires (she’s been there, done that many times in the past – you all know what I am talking about  - when you go out and drop a bundle to buy everything you need to make the latest craft trend,  only to have it last one season and you didn’t even have the time to make it LOL).  I wasn’t sure if she would like making cards or scrapbook pages, but she had a great time and was so proud of her projects.  She made one of the scrapbook pages and gave it to me since she doesn’t have scrapbooks and I gave my cards to her (since I can make more and she can’t).  I think it worked out great.  I wanted to share the cards we made; I think they turned out great!
