I finished my album!

I had a great time scrapbooking this weekend and although I am sad that it is over I beaming because I finished my album. Now I get to start on my next one! I completed 14 pages which covered Oct 2008 and two events…a 40th birthday for the bank I work for and the wedding of a long time friend. I took pictures and upload them for you all to see. I hope you enjoy!

It's official, I am OBSESSED!

I had a baby bug (for my friends that aren't scrappers it is a the small Cricut, a wonderous machine that cuts out fonts, designs and images from 1" - 11.5" for scrapbooking or card making, or really anything you want) for over a year when I decided to buy my big bug (the large Cricut cuts .25" - 23.5"). I loved my baby bug, but I am obsessed with my big bug! I am so obsessed that I can't get anything else done that I need to! It's very sad. I will be at work and all of the sudden an idea will pop in my head and I just can't wait to get home to play with it or to get online to see if I can get more ideas. It is a sickness I tell you!!

Not only am I obsessed with my Cricut, I am also now the proud new owner of a Cuttlebug (again for my non-scrapping friends this is another machine that will cut or emboss paper). I bought it for the embossing capability and am so excited to get the Cricut embossing folder kit so I can make my own folders using images from my cartridges.

The saddest thing of all is that I haven't really been scrapbooking for long, only a little over 2 years. And as most of you know, it is not a cheap hobby. It is a good thing that I am getting a lot of overtime in right now :). Well, I think I will actually get back to doing some things around the house...I have been neglecting it for long enough!

Life's a Beach and Wild Card Father's Day Card

I made this Father’s Day card and envelope using the LAB and WC carts. Yes, you do see real sand on the card (I know, crazy idea, right?). I had cut the layer out for the palm trees on the inside of the card, but I thought it looked better without it so I left it off.

The worst thing about this card is that I mailed it to my father on Thursday and didn’t think about it needing additional postage and it came back to me. Well I will fix it next week and he will still get in time for Father’s Day :)!

Paper Pup Cards

These two cards are from the paper pups cart. I made the hello (hi) pup for my great uncle and it was blank inside. I made the birthday pup for my uncle and used the relax cut from pp and simply wrote "We hope you have a nice, relaxing birthday." on the inside.

Mother's Day Card

Here is a card I made for Mother's Day. It was my first card made using my Cricut. I ususally only use the Cricut for scrapbooking, but I was in the mood to do something special for the mothers in my life :).

My new site under construction!!

Hi! I've decided to try this blogging thing out. I will be (trying to) post my Cricut creations on this site. Over the next few weeks I will be trying to get this thing up and running, so please forgive the mess :). Thanks for looking!
